Sarah Steele Health and Rehabilitation Center

Project Info

Client: YTG
Delivery Method: General Contracting

Wildstone was contracted by the Yukon Government to construct a 35,000 ft2 wood framed building in downtown Whitehorse, this building will replace the existing drug and alcolhol rehabilitation center which is currently on the same lot. The size and patient occupancy of the building more than doubles the existing building.  The construction was scheduled to work year round in the Yukon climate with the building being closed in prior to winter to allow the mechanical and electrical to continue working throughout the winter months.  The location, schedule and weather proved to be challenges throughout this project.
