Due to major flooding in southern Alberta, disaster relief funding was granted to Rocky View County to design and build a treatment plant to handle the village sewage as Alberta Health would not allow septic fields to be re-established. Wildstone Construction and Engineering Ltd. was contracted as Project Managers to assist MPE Engineering in the design and budget preparation.
Wildstone was successful in negotiating the construction phase of the project on stipulated sum and immediately broke ground April 2014. The project included a 75K membrane bioreactor housed in a pre-engineered steel structure on top of reinforced concrete equalization tanks.
The project had major challenges, the budget limitations of disaster relief funding and the urgency of bringing the plant on line. Wildstone was successful in meeting the restraints of funding and completing the project ahead of schedule.
